Job Description Job Description A contracting company in Charleston is seeking an experienced Estimator to support residential and commercial construction projects. This role is central to the pre-construction process and plays a key part in setting projects up for success by developing accurate budgets, defining project scope, and coordinating with trade partners. The Estimator will work closely with project managers and the design team to translate plans and design intent into detailed, well-organized cost estimates. This position requires a strong understanding of construction methods, the ability to analyze plans and specifications, and the judgment to identify scope gaps, risks, and cost drivers before construction begins. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to execution, with clear alignment on cost, constructability, and expectations. Key responsibilities: -Reviewing architectural and design drawings -Preparing detailed budgets -Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing -Evaluating scope and constructability -Supporting project teams throughout the pre-construction phase -Collaborate with interior and landscape designers Qualifications: -5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related construction role -Experience with residential and commercial projects -Experience creating comprehensive budgets -Strong communication skills If you'd enjoy joining a growing, collaborative team, we would love to hear from you!
