Job Description Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position is available to support an elementary student with behavioral challenges in an elementary school setting in the Virginia Beach area. This contract role, beginning as soon as possible and lasting through June 16, 2026, involves direct one-on-one assistance focused on implementing behavior intervention strategies. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to an elementary student exhibiting aggressive behaviors. Assist the special education teacher in applying the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and behavior supports. Collect and record data related to both behavioral and academic progress. Escort the student during unstructured times to ensure safety and smooth transitions between classes. Collaborate effectively with the special education team to enhance student outcomes. Qualifications: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) licensure is required. Experience working as an RBT in school settings is preferred. Ability to manage challenging behaviors with professionalism and patience. Strong skills in data collection and behavior tracking. Capability to work full-time, approximately 37 hours per week. Location: Position is based within the Virginia Beach area in an elementary school. This immediate-need role is vital for maintaining the students behavioral support without interruption due to the previous technicians departure. Supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) may be provided by the district.
