Job Description Job Description Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based Contract Location: Walterboro, SC 29488 Job Type: Contract (School Setting) Contract Length: 43 Weeks Shift: Day Shift | 5x7.5 hours Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM Hours per Week: 37.5 Compensation Pay Range: $38–$46/hour (W2) Weekly Pay: $1,425 – $1,725 Orientation: All hours billable Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based contract opportunity in Walterboro, South Carolina. This role supports students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within an educational environment. The ideal candidate is student-focused, collaborative, and experienced in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans that support academic and functional success. Key Responsibilities Evaluate students’ speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in group settings Monitor, document, and adjust therapy plans based on student progress Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and school administrators Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district and state guidelines Educate families and staff on strategies to support student communication needs Qualifications Education & Licensure Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active or eligible South Carolina SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience & Skills School-based or pediatric experience preferred Knowledge of special education laws and IEP processes Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary school team Compassionate, patient, and student-centered approach Additional Information Block schedules not available Extension of existing school-based services COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements per facility policy For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
