Job Description A Mechanical Engineer will play a vital role in
supporting innovative planning and analysis by offering technical
support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building
mechanical system design and pre-construction analysis. The
position involves conducting studies on innovative technical design
and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts,
as well as researching and benchmarking industry trends to enhance
building design and installation. The role supports quality, cost,
schedule, and safety goals and involves developing and supporting
project justifications, business cases, and management
presentations. The engineer will provide technical expertise
throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including
cross-department collaboration. Responsibilities Provide technical
support for early project planning focusing on industrial building
mechanical system design. Conduct studies on innovative technical
design and implementation procedures. Research and benchmark
industry trends to enhance building design and installation.
Support quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals. Develop and
support project justifications, business cases, and management
presentations. Provide technical expertise throughout planning,
design, and construction phases. Collaborate across departments to
ensure successful project implementation. Essential Skills
Mechanical engineering proficiency. Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical,
Chemical, or similar) or 5 years in hands-on building mechanical
system experience. 5 years of experience in building design,
construction, and/or operation. Experience in industrial building
mechanical systems (HVAC, process piping, chilled water, compressed
air, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, etc.). Intermediate
level experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Visio, Outlook). Additional Skills & Qualifications Professional
Engineering (PE) License (optional). Experience in industrial
control or automation systems (Energy/Building Management Systems,
fire alarm systems, SCADA, etc.). Experience in industrial building
chemical systems (waste water, tank farms, etc.). Experience in
cross-departmental collaboration. Experience with Power BI,
Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD. Industry related
certifications in ASHRAE, CEM, LEED AP, PMP, etc. Fundamental
problem-solving skills and a desire for improvement/kaizen. Work
Environment The role requires 25% or less travel and follows shift
timings from 9 AM to 5 PM. The environment offers flexibility with
schedules and work/life balance. The position provides stable
long-term contracts with opportunities for learning and
development. Benefits include 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per
calendar year, with overtime compensated at time and a half. Travel
arrangements for contractors are handled by the company. Job Type &
Location This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 -
$75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may
depend on your job classification and length of employment.
