Non-Destructive Quality Test Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking talented individuals for a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist to support our Quality team in North Charleston, SC on 2nd shift. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission. Position Responsibilities: Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment Performs tests or inspections and collects data Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products Conducts on-the-job training (OJT) Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3 years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test) 3 years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts. Capable of working in confined spaces Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle and/or Radiography Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review Able to work from heights up to 55 feet Experience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans Digital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experience Able to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval opening Experience inspecting composite material 3 years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques Understanding of Continuous Improvem ent methodologies Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
