This role serves as a clinical resource and provides leadership and guidance to the nursing and DSP staff of a specific shift on a shift-by-shift basis. Will problem solve and work closely with other facility departments to assure a safe environment and the delivery of high-quality supportive care for the individuals at Kingstree PRTF. Full-time, Day (7AM-7PM) or Night (7PM-7AM), every other weekend off! Located onsite in Kingstree, SC.Job Type: This is a fully onsite role that is not eligible for remote work.Job Duties: Oversee the daily operations of the PRTF of Nursing and Direct Care Staff in accordance with client and staff safety, regulatory compliance and BBH policy. Effectively plan work that correlates with available staff and workload. Utilizes staff working non-standard shifts to their fullest capacity. Assist in attaining adequate staffing for current and upcoming shifts Assigns individual / procedures based on staff competency level. Assist in recreational activities as needed, supporting clients and staff Maintains compliance with regulatory agency requirements, environment of care standards and PRTF policies and procedures Coordinates activities safely and effectively in high acuity, emergency and disaster situations Serves as a clinical resource person for staff, role models advanced clinical skills, practices standards of care and facility-based computer systems. When able: Complete admission documentation for other staff, identify discharge needs are met, pass medications for other staff, assist with nursing assistant tasks. Identifies opportunities to improve workflow (increase individual quality, decrease unessential work of staff, streamline or redesign a current workflow process). Coordinates specialty equipment needs and issues Identify employees with special needs or strengths and communication to leadership. Carries out changes in policy/procedure/process and helps teammates to make changes positive and consistently Facilitates daily mingle meeting in absence of department leadership. Role models exemplary leadership behaviors to aligned with Broadstep Core Values All other duties as assignedRequired Education/License/Credentials: Valid and current South Carolina RN licensure One-year related staff nurse experience in a hospital/acute setting Considerable ability to provide leadership, plan, organize, delegate and outline activities for the facility. Strong communication and critical thinking skills required. Ability to multi-task is required. The ability to remain calm and flexible in stressful situations.
