Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience or 1 year Level 1 CTICU experience. License: Must hold appropriate state licensure. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required. Must-Have: 2 references from a charge nurse or above in profile required. Description: 50% of holidays required. Floating is mandatory. The unit has 18 beds with a ratio of 1:2. Floating may occur to ICU Cluster and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units with a ratio of 1:4. The core staff cares for patients with the highest acuity and specialty equipment needs. First-time travelers are accepted. Travelers will be expected to float to any area as a Patient Observer (sitter). ICU may float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical (MS) units. PCU may float to MS or ICU units. MS may float to MS/Telemetry units. Pediatrics may float anywhere in the organization as a Patient Observer (sitter). Post-Partum may float to MS units. Labor and Delivery may float within Maternal/Child areas. Modules are non-billable and average 4-6 hours. Modules are completed during orientation and annually, varying by specialty. Modules are recorded by the onsite manager through Cornerstone.
