qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Charleston, South Carolina,

Title: Imaging Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical
Care Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Interventional Radiology Hours per
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Recent Interventional
Radiology/Special Procedures experience required License: Currently
licensed as a Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS Certification,
BCLS Certification, BSN highly desired Description: To provide
nursing care for patients following established standards and
practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. To apply
professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care. Constant interaction with
internal and external customers, including patients, families,
physicians, employees, and visitors. Interventional radiology and
imaging shifts are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call requirements
for after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Float and call
requirements to other facilities as needed. On call one weekday per
week and every fourth weekend. Knowledge of professional nursing
theory and practice is essential to give and evaluate patient care.
Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures to
administer patient care is required. Understanding of common safety
hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment is
essential. Skill in applying and modifying professional nursing
principles, methods, and techniques to provide ongoing patient care
is necessary. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
is required. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing
reports is necessary. Establishing and maintaining effective
working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
is critical. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical
thinking is necessary. Effective communication skills are required.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations is
essential. Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and
stooping are expected. Frequent lifting or moving of patients is
required. Intermittent lifting, moving, carrying, pushing, or
pulling up to 50 lbs. is necessary. Frequent use of finger and hand
dexterity is required. Constant reaching with hands and arms is
expected. Frequent talking or hearing abilities are necessary, with
corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to blood,
body fluids, or tissue is possible. There may be exposure to
infectious materials, communicable diseases, and other conditions
common to a healthcare environment. Intermittent exposure to
blood-borne pathogens is expected. Moderate noise level in the work
area is anticipated. Requires the ability to work under stressful
conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take
call and/or work weekends or holidays based on the department's
