We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This opportunity begins on Apr 13, 2026, and offers a flexible schedule of 10-15 shifts per month, typically including swing shifts from 11am to 11pm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise and adaptability in a fast-paced emergency care environment. Job Details - Location: Kentucky - Start Date: Apr 13, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant - Schedule: 10-15 shifts/month; typical shifts 11am-11pm (subject to change, flexibility required) Responsibilities and Duties - Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute conditions - Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Document clinical encounters and maintain accurate records - Respond promptly to medical emergencies and deliver care under pressure - Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards Additional Information - Must have at least 3 years of recent experience in Emergency Medicine - Active Kentucky license required - Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Board certifications accepted: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
