Special Procedures Tech Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,823 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Special Procedures Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Special Procedures Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with call requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a radiologic technologist or at least 1 year in Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology License: South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification Certifications: ARRT Radiography (R) Certification, BLS through the American Heart Association Must-Have: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Description: Following established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, Special Procedures Technologists will perform procedures for the direct results of interpretation. Technologists will assist on procedures as needed and be responsible for supervising student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. The role encourages and maintains good customer relations. Frequent personal contact with patients, staff, physicians, student technologists, and employees is expected. Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures utilizing age-appropriate care. Obtains correct written orders for procedures. Efficient use of time to accomplish patient care assignments while meeting work quality, quantity, and timeliness expectations is essential. Assists in the clinical education of student technologists. Efficient utilization of imaging equipment with attention to minimizing repeat examinations is required. Uses supplies with an emphasis on cost containment. Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging procedures and assists in obtaining informed consent as needed. Ensures patient's understanding of procedures. Communicates with family members regarding discharge instructions. Responds actively and sensitively to the needs of internal and external customers. Ensures correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system. Communicates effectively with Radiologists regarding procedures and presents a positive and professional demeanor. Adheres to departmental and safety policies and procedures. Practices good radiation protection and follows established guidelines. Completes annual mandatory in-services and maintains current licensure requirements. Supports and promotes departmental efforts in meeting established projects and goals. Holds medical and sensitive information in confidence. Assists other members of the Imaging Team and/or other disciplines to maintain records, reports, and files. Functions as a team player by helping wherever help is needed. Demonstrates flexibility and accountability in job duties and is a self-starter. Takes initiative toward improving departmental operations by offering ideas and solutions. Performs other job duties and responsibilities as required. Requires a mature individual who projects a professional and business-like appearance.
