Health to find a qualified Peds CVICU RN in Charleston, South
Carolina, 29425! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Carolina or Multi-State/Compact) Certifications: PALS, BLS (AHA
certification required) Must-Have: Pediatric Cardiac ICU
experience, VAD experience highly preferred Description: Registered
Nurse needed for Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The
shift will be three consecutive twelve-hour night shifts from 7 PM
to 7:30 AM. Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2, based on acuity. There
is a requirement of four weekend shifts in a four-week schedule and
holiday rotation. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates
must possess two years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
Experience in cardiovascular and pediatric care is required. VAD
experience is highly preferred. Certifications required include
PALS and BLS from the American Heart Association. ACLS
certification is preferred but not required. The unit may float to
meet facility needs. All patients cared for will have congenital
heart disease based on care needs. Common procedures include
cardiac surgery, heart transplant, and cardiac catheterization.
Complex therapies such as ECMO and CRRT are provided as needed. The
staffing mix includes RNs, Patient Care Technicians, and ancillary
supportive services. All beds are monitored. The facility is a
Level I trauma center and a teaching facility. The average daily
census on the unit is 26, with a total of 29 beds. Clinical support
services available include respiratory therapy and pharmacy.
Travelers should be prepared for possible assignments to emergency
