Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Post
Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a night shift position. The RN will
be responsible for providing care to surgical short stay and
observation patients. Shifts will be three 12-hour shifts from 6:00
PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. There are no weekend or
holiday shifts required. The expected patient ratio is a maximum of
1:6, with 1:3 anticipated. The unit handles patients undergoing
various services including orthopedics and interventional
radiology. The RN will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and
OR nurses. This role demands the ability to provide safe and
effective patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must
be open to possible floating to another observation unit based on
patient needs. Previous experience with charting systems is
preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. All
time-off requests must be provided at the time of application to
ensure approval based on facility needs. Travelers should be aware
of emergency response assignments during hurricane season. 5
