Job Description:

HCA Healthcare is actively seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to fill a per diem position in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PRN RN at HCA Healthcare, you'll play a critical role in providing compassionate post-operative care to patients. Our network, comprising nearly 2,000 sites including premier hospitals and surgery centers, offers a dynamic environment committed to high-quality, patient-centered care aimed at improving human life. This position is pivotal in maintaining our standards of excellence in patient outcomes and satisfaction. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness during the post-operative period to swiftly identify complications. Administer medications and fluids as prescribed and monitor reactions. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for recovering patients. Educate patients and families about post-procedure care and any necessary modifications in treatment plans. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to compliance and infection control standards. Strong assessment and monitoring skills. Proficiency in managing and administering medication. Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Skill in responding to emergency situations effectively and calmly. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. BLS Certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred. PALS Certification may be required depending on location.
