Carolina, 29425! Job Title: PICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse

PICU experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted License:
South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
Certifications: BLS, PALS (American Heart Association) Must-Have:
Experience preferred in ECMO and CRRT Description: The Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit provides intensive and intermediate care to
children ages 0-18 with a variety of medical and surgical
diagnoses. Common diagnoses include respiratory compromise, trauma,
post-operative surgical support, and neurology/neurosurgery. The
unit is equipped to provide ECMO, CRRT, renal or peritoneal
dialysis, and other complex support therapies as needed. Pediatric
Palliative care is available when necessary. The staffing mix
consists of Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit
Secretaries, with specialized services such as Respiratory Therapy,
Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacists available. Daily
patient ratios vary and typically include 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3,
depending on patient acuity. The unit is designed with a total of
28 beds. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit operates under the
guidelines of a Level I Trauma Center and is also recognized as a
teaching facility. Additional support services include IV Teams,
Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. 5 Benefits of
