Description The Department of Pediatrics is hiring Chief Residents
to align with the Residency Program, Administration, Clinical Care,
Research, and Academics. The role of Chief Resident anticipates an
average work week of fifty hours due to variation in clinic duty
such as night call and weekend call. The role of a Chief Resident

responsibilities account for roughly 2,080 per annum, and include
scheduling, staffing changes, resident emergencies, educational
development, information relay, technical support in the Children’s
Hospital, research and QI tracking, recruitment, and resident
support. In addition to your other responsibilities, enthusiastic
participation in the educational mission of the Department is
expected. MUSC Minimum Requirements: Medical Doctorate or the
equivalent. Licensed/eligible for medical licensure in South
Carolina. Additional Job Description Physical Requirements: (Note:

level to height of 36 inches, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to
lower objects, up to 15 lbs., from height of 36 inches to floor
level, unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to push/pull objects, up to
15 lbs., unassisted. (Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision,
corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to
see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see
and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to
determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
